Bees new Partner sees them travel in style

The Bracknell Bees have signed a partnership deal that sees them link up with the award-winning Courtney Buses.

Now carrying over 1 million customers every year, Courtney Buses have come a long way since beginning in 1973 as a local taxi business.

The company has state-of-the-art buses fitted with video screens and GPS systems, ensuring customers are always up to date with the latest information. In addition they’re well aware of the environmental issues that face transport companies: 16 years ago they were the first company in the UK to run a bus on 100% biofuel.

Courtney Buses has been recognised within the industry winning Operator Excellence awards five times in the last eight years. They are also accredited Investors in People. In addition the fleet is maintained to the highest standards by a team of seven mechanics working in a full size body shop.

Courtney Buses motto is ‘Driven by Service’ and, thanks to this exciting partnership, the Bees will be driven by that service this season.

Head Coach Doug Sheppard said; “We’re thrilled to have Courtney back on board. They used to sponsor the Bees many years ago when they provided team and supporters’ travel. Courtney has changed as a business and now they provide public service transport in and around Berkshire. We encourage fans to use public transport, it’s environmentally friendly and an ideal travel solution if you’re going shopping or going out. With Courtney transitioning into a public transport company it’s fantastic that they have come back onboard and become a Platinum Partner once again. We look forward to a successful relationship.”

Owner Bill Courtney added: “We’ve been a local business in Bracknell for 45 years and we’ve always enjoyed strong links to the local community. We’re very excited to be getting behind the Bees and wish them all the best for a very successful season!
