Weekend Preview – Just the one game

It’s a single game weekend for the Berkshire Cycles Bracknell Bees as they hit the ice in Gillingham against the Invicta Dynamos eight days on from an impressive 5-1 home win over the same team.

The Bees will be icing without David Milner who has left the club as Doug Sheppard explained; “I’d like to thank David for his time with the Bees but we’ll be looking to bring in a new import over the next few weeks to give us our best shot at a strong finish on the run in. I’ve arranged for David to sign with another British club and expect he’ll make his debut for his new team this weekend.

The Dynamos have had a tough start to the season with many of their bigger name signings departing the club through the season to date including the latest departure, netminder Adam Long. Connor Morris made the start in goal last weekend for the Dynamos.

The team ices currently with just Ondrej Zosiak being non-EIHA trained and the majority of the team learned their hockey locally.

It’s a tough challenge for coach Kevin Parrish to turn around their season so far.

Head Coach Doug Sheppard looked forward to weekend saying; “I thought we played two good games last weekend but only one result went in our favour. Danny Milton enjoyed two good games in net. This weekend we’re away from home and although Invicta are beneath us in the table we’re well aware we need to approach this game with the right attitude and play to our best.

Face-off on Sunday is 5.15pm.
