The Berkshire Cycles Bracknell Bees are saddened to announce that tonight’s Cup Semi-Final game against Peterborough Phantoms has been postponed following consultation with the rink management and the EIHA.
Bees director Stuart Robinson explained; “In the absence of a thaw and commercial gritting, the heavy overnight snow in Bracknell has rendered the car park as unusable and the access roads and pavements as extremely dangerous.
“We are also extremely concerned that the temperature is dropping to freezing as soon as the sun sets and is going down to minus 6 overnight. The current pools of slush around the area too will cause an icy threat. Public safety risks will increase further.”
Tomorrow’s fixture in Peterborough will go ahead as scheduled and work is now underway to find a suitable replacement date to host tonight’s home game. Tickets purchased for tonight will be valid for the rescheduled date and we will make an announcement as soon as possible confirming details.
