Ten up for #10

The latest signing Head Coach Doug Sheppard has to announce is bound to be a popular one as fans favourite James Galazzi returns for his testimonial season. When the season starts in September James Galazzi will once again be in the Black, White and Gold of the Bees and start his 10th season with the club.

Originally making his debut for the Bees in 2006/07 with 5 EPL appearances he had to wait three more Hornets seasons before his return to the Bees. When the return to the senior team came in 2010/11 James took the opportunity and made the position his own.

Over nine consecutive seasons with the Bees James has played 431 games scoring 69+106 while accumulating 973 PiMs building himself a reputation as a tough no nonsense player.

Last season James contributed 4+12 from 40 league games while racking up 62 penalty minutes.

With James now returning for his 10th season at the Bees the club are delighted to honour him with a testimonial year and will be announcing further events surrounding the testimonial in due course.

James Galazzi, on re-signing for the Bees, said; “I’m so excited to be back again for what will be a milestone year for me. It’s an absolute privilege to wear the Bees jersey every year and this year will be no different. The new National league is going to give us a compelling season and I can’t wait to try and build on our success last year.

Head Coach Doug Sheppard commented on returning James Galazzi; “James is going to bring a lot to the team, everyone sees the effort he puts in on the ice and respects the fact he will stick up for his teammates. He brings loads of experience which is key as we have a very young team. James has a tremendous attitude and it’s going to be an honour to coach him in his testimonial season.

James stands 6’0” and weighs 212lbs. He shoots left handed.
