New blood at the Bees

Head Coach of the Berkshire Cycles Bracknell Bees has captured a fresh signature which will see Louis Colvin make his debut in Black, White and Gold this September.

The 20 year old is a bright young prospect and after learning his hockey in Surrey he’s spent the last two seasons plying his trade in Kent with the Invicta Dynamos.

Throughout his junior career in Guildford he scored at over a point per game and being selected for the conference tournament season after season. In his last year in Guildford he helped his team to the Under 16 league title and then in 2015/16 decided to head abroad to take his game to the next level. Heading to Canada he played two seasons at Ontario Hockey Academy at Under 18 level to complete his junior hockey.

Upon his return to the UK he signed with the Invicta Dynamos and started his senior career. Putting up 34 points across two seasons for just 18 penalty minutes brought him to the attention of Doug Sheppard who moved to capture his services for the new season.

Doug Sheppard spoke of his new signing; “Louis is a very good all round player, he’s young and hungry to play at the highest possible level he can. Louis has a great attitude and will fit in nicely in Bracknell.

Louis Colvin stands 5’11” and weighs 170lbs. He shoots left handed.
