This weekend the TSI World Bracknell Bees have just a single game, on home ice against the Swindon Wildcats on Sunday night.
The Bees will be looking to level the season series with the Wildcats following their trip to Wiltshire last weekend where a tense game ended up with a flattering scoreline for the home team.
Last Sunday the Bees came back from a poor start on home ice against the Lightning to run out winners and keep alive their home record which they’ll be aiming to do again this weekend.
The Wildcats currently sit in third place in the table with an identical 3 wins and 3 losses with the Bees however they are boosted by two of their three losses coming in overtime adding two extra points to their tally.
Wildcats have 2 of the top 5 point scorers in the league this season with Tomasz Malasinki sitting with an impressive 19 points from his first six games and Aaron Nell recording 12 points from the same number of games. Renny Marr also sits third in the goaltenders stats this season with a 90.65% save percentage and 2 shut-outs recorded.
Last weekend saw Doug Sheppard able to ice the majority of his roster for the first time of the season with Robin Kovar returning from injury. Bees top point scorer this far is Roman Malinik with 3+2 while Stuart Mogg leads the Brits in scoring with 2+2.
Doug Sheppard looks forward to the single game this weekend; “With only one game this week, it’s crucial we pick up two points. Swindon are a very good team, we’ll have to be at our best to get a result.”
