It was a weekend of contrasting fortunes for the TSI World Bracknell Bees as Saturday was a day to remember but Sunday turned into a day to forget.

The first period in Milton Keynes played out scoreless but at 29.08 the Bees were in the lead thanks to Robin Kovar though the lead would be short lived as Rio Grinell-Parke levelled shorthanded at 30.19 for a 1-1 second period.
The Lightning scored two back to back goals at 42.43 through Calum Robertson and at 45.36 though Tomas Kana with another shorthanded goal making it 3-1 but an heroic comeback from the Bees lay ahead. Roman Malinik pulled the game level with strikes at 52.07 and 59.35 before Aidan Doughty scored the game winner at 59.54.

Sunday night saw a good start for the Bison with Michael Klejna scoring just 49 seconds in. Two powerplay goals from Ryan Sutton (12.48 and 16.51) distorted the scoring 0-3 in favour of the visitors in what had otherwise been a fairly even period.
Bees got a powerplay advantage at 24.05 when Paul Petts was called for hooking but Klejna scored his second at 24.50 shorthanded before Bees converted through Vanya Antonov at 25.18. Despite building periods of pressure Bees couldn’t find another goal before Klejna completed his hattrick at 28.39 and chipped in with his fourth of the night at 31.06 on the powerplay and this one saw the end of Adam Goss in nets, replaced by Danny Milton.
Alex Sampford started the third period scoring 29 seconds in and was followed by Jay King at 42.32 before Sutton completed his hattrick at 46.42 with a powerplay goal. Bees scored a powerplay goal at 51.07 when Antonov netted his second but that was the scoring done.
