The TSI World Bracknell Bees played away on Saturday to the Milton Keynes Lightning followed by a Sunday home game against the Basingstoke Bison.

The Lightning went into the game buoyed by the addition of Liam Stewart but it would be the Bees who struck first thanks to Robin Kovar at 4.54. Hallden Barnes-Garner levelled the game with a powerplay goal at 16.47 though.
Lightning opened up a lead in the second period thanks to goals from Harry Fergusson (22.25), Liam Stewart (26.18) and Logan Prince (33.42).
Stewart’s second started the third period at 44.02 and was followed by strikes from Ari Nahri at 52.13 and Ross Green at 57.20 before Brendan Baird scored the final goal of the game at 58.22.

The teams battled out a tense scoreless opening period before Brendan Baird broke the deadlock with a powerplay goal at 26.38. Alex Sampford levelled with a powerplay goal at 31.28 and the second period ended tied at 1-1.
Basingstoke found themselves ahead at 41.16 through Michal Klejna but Roman Malinik buried a delayed penalty goal at 46.09 for level pegging at 2-2. With 10.50 to play Marek Malinsky scored the game winner for the visitors. The Bees kept the pressure up and played the final 1.11 with an empty net looking to force the equalising goal but despite a last second scramble Basingstoke held on for the win.
