Head Coach Doug Sheppard this evening announces that Dominik Gabaj is the latest addition to the TSI World Bracknell Bees. Dominik will make his debut next weekend.
The 26 year old Slovak comes to the United Kingdom for the first time with an impressive background in European hockey.
Born in Bratislava Dominik started with HK Ruzinov 99 Bratislava posting way over a point per game through his Under 18 and Under 20 seasons. In 2012/13 he was the leading point scorer in the Western States Hockey League, scoring 41+61 from 45 games with Idaho Jr. Steelheads. Moving on in 2013/14 he posted over 3 points per game in the National Junior College Athletic Association playing for Monroe Community College.
76 points followed in his next three seasons for Nazareth College before returning to Europe and playing in France 2.
In 2017/18 he posted 40 points from 26 games for Tours followed by 29 points in 26 games for Neuilly-sur-Marne and this year he has 1+3 to date for Brest.
Speaking on the signing of his new forward Bees Head Coach Doug Sheppard said; “I’ve heard good things about Dominik as a player and person. I’m confident he’s going to come to Bracknell and make a difference to the team.”
Dominik is 6’0 and weighs 196lbs. He shoots left handed and will wear 23 for the Bees.
