This weekend starts on home ice at the Hive for the TSI World Bracknell Bees as they welcome the Raiders. The following night they make the northbound journey to take on the Sheffield Steeldogs in a reverse of last Sunday’s game.
Saturday night is a busy night at the Hive with it being a School Zone game and the Bees also holding their Teddy Bear Toss with this year’s benefactor being Daisy’s Dream.
On the ice Head Coach Doug Sheppard will be looking to his team to keep making positive strides following some promising performances. Road wins at Peterborough and Basingstoke have shown the potential the Bees have and this Saturday will be the debut of Bees latest signing Caly Robertson.
Top point scorers and players to watch out for with the Raiders are Jake Sylvester who is the top scorer with 13+9 from 20 games followed by Blahoslav Novak and Lukas Sladovsky with 18 points while Captain Aaron Connolly is just behind on 16 points.
On Sunday it’s a quick chance to turn around the Steeldogs win last Sunday as the venues switch.
Last Sunday the Steeldogs forced a win in overtime at the Hive so, despite the long journey, the Bees will look to hit the ice hard and bring back the points.
With just seven days in between fixtures the Bees will be well aware of the players to look out for within the Steeldogs roster.
Head Coach Doug Sheppard shared his thoughts ahead of the weekend; “This week we’ll be looking build on last week and pick up the full four points.”
Bees play at the Hive on Saturday, face-off 6.15pm and in Sheffield on Sunday, face-off 4.30pm.
