Dominik Gabaj opened the scoring for the Bees at 15.10 giving them a lead they’d hold on to for 32.09.
A hotly contested middle period failed to add to the scoring and it wasn’t until 47.19 when Erik Piatak scored his first to level the game. He netted again with a powerplay goal at 49.37 to give the home team the lead. With 1.24 left to play, Lukas Sladovsky made it 3-1 but Bees pulled their goaltender and Josh Ealey-Newman scored at 59.31 before Gabaj netted a second with just 13 seconds left in regulation time to force overtime.
Having secured a point from a seemingly impossible position with 29 seconds left in regulation time Bees couldn’t collect the second point which Sladovsky’s second goal of the night 1.43 into the extra period secured for the Raiders.
