It’s good news for Zack Milton as the Bracknell junior becomes a full-time member of the Berkshire Cycles Bracknell Bees. That’s the message from Bees Head Coach Doug Sheppard as Zack, who’s guested for the senior team so far this season will get his place confirmed for 18/19.
Zack learned his hockey at Slough, transferring to Bracknell in 2016/17. His second year in Bracknell saw him split time between the Under 18 Drones and the NIHL2 Hornets going at over a point per game in the Under 18 league.
Registered for Under 18, Under 20 and NIHL2 this season Zack was selected by Doug Sheppard to guest for the Bees and his performances this year have seen him promoted to the senior team for the season as Doug Sheppard explained; “Zach has impressed me every time I’ve seen him skate. He has great hockey skills and they’re matched with a fantastic work ethic. He works hard every training session and puts in 100% in games too.”
Zach Milton commented on joining the Bees full time; “I’m really excited to be joining Doug and the boys full time. I’ve learned a lot over the past weeks training and playing alongside them and look forward to working and training hard over the rest of the season.”
In what demonstrates the connected development pathway through the club while Zack will now ice and train predominantly full time with the Bees he will still be available to help out the Drones when needed too.
Doug Sheppard concluded; “Zach has great potential and is at a stage in his development where he’s going to learn a lot quickly. He has a great attitude and his endless desire to work hard and put in the effort to better his game is a great asset for him. I’m sure he’ll be a great hockey player and I’m glad to have him with us.”
Zach stands at 6’0 tall and weighs 180lbs. He shoots left-handed
